It is my hope to pass along some of my knowledge to my clients in order to empower them to take control of their own health and fitness

About Me

After discovering my passion for health and fitness during my time in the military, I left active duty after 10 years in July 2013, in order to pursue my passion full time, and to start my family with my Husband Brian.  Okay, "start a family" is a bit of a stretch; I should have said "adopt a few puppies", because those are the only fur-babies we have.

I am now a certified Personal Trainer (ACE and NASM) with derees in Nutrition Science, Communications Technology, Personal Training, and most recently, Massage Therapy.  I believe in a whole-picture approach to health that includes not only how you move but what you eat and how you take care of your body.

In addition to my fitness profession, it is my hobby as well.  I began competing in NPC bikini in 2014, and was a Nationally Qualified athlete.  It was a great experience, but ultimately I have always preferred a more muscular look and have since moved on to competing in the Figure division.

Day-to-day I work as a massage therapist at Veda Salon and Spa in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in addition to keeping up with my online clients.

On a personal level, I have tried just about everything under the sun in terms of training and diet programs in the past. I have been extremely overweight, inactive and depressed, but I have also been extremely underweight and unhealthy in that regard. I have delt with deployments and personal stress, medication interactions and injuries... I've run the gamut as far as bad luck and feeling down-and-out but it has never truly knocked me out.

It has taken me a long time and a lot of trial and error to get where I am today; happy, healthy, and living a balanced life. I no longer fear "bad" foods nor do I live to eat. In more recent years, I have experimented with popular diet and training protocols in order to better understand their effects on body composition and performance, and because of that I believe in a science-based approach to fitness; you won't find me peddling the latest miracle pill or following the latest fad diet in an effort to cut corners!

Unlike some fitness professionals, I practice what I preach. I have participated in everything from CrossFit to yoga and do not believe that there is one "right" way to do things, though there may be an OPTIMAL way to acheive one's goals; my job it to help my clients find that optimal way.

Trying to fit everything into a neat little box is bullshit. I don't do it to myself, and I would never do it to my clients.

It is my hope to pass along some of my knowledge to my clients in order to empower them to take control of their own health and fitness, but more importantly to continue to learn from and be inspired by them as well.
